| Distributed desktop application The initial intention is to implement visual basic clients with activex control that connects to the standalone mappoint server hosted in the server machine. The pushpin in the mappoint server will be inserted and updated from SQL server installed in the same machine. Can someone tell me which is the right way to do this? Thank you in advance.         |

Hi, the ActiveX control can only connect to a local OCX. However you can make a TCP server where client connect to to get information from the database.
