2008/07/11 - DNA has announced the latest release of their advanced logistic optimization component "JOpt.NET 2.2.2" that enables software vendors to enhance their products with multidimensional vehicle routing and scheduling facilities. JOpt.NET creates an optimum schedule in terms of truck's payload to empty ratio and minimizes overall road mileage. Given any arbitrary number of jobs, JOpt.NET determines the most cost effective truck allocation including driver's attributes or skills, capacities, working times and multiple time constraints at tour stops.
Within the last years JOpt has advanced to be integrated into several prominent transportation suites. Version 2.2.2 now accommodates this circumstance and has been specially optimized for large scaled problems with several thousand stops and hundreds of vehicles.
