hi,
I want to draw on mappoint with usual methods in C# (draw graphics with pen). but i cant see the drawing on mappoint..i want to highlight map area in mouse move event , and change colors too. the predifined add shapes method is not working fine as i need the x,y from the user when he move the mouse on map.

I solved that by copying the map to the clipboard and then drawing the bitmap on my canvas. So I have complete mouse-control and drwaing-control. All other attemps were not successfull. But this is a lot of work.

How well does your method work speedwise?

i need to draw on mappoint , saving to clipboard is not an good way for my programme, user needs to work with mappoint so after somepoint they can go back and edit the drawing what they did before.

I'm sorry if this is a bit obvious and i'm sure you have already thought of it but can you not just leave mappoints drawing tools on screen for the user to use?
