Drawing Radii (Circles)

This tool is very similar to the Drawing Drivetimes Zones worksheet in the MapPoint Power Tools Spreadsheet.

Basically instead of specifying minutes for the drivetime, you specify miles for the radii or circles to be displayed. Again it takes another column for the color.

See attached screenshot to get an idea of the operation.

Let me know if you have any problems, I would also be happy to prepare a European version if requested.

I will be published the code in an upcoming MP2Kmag newsletter. Subscribe here --

Re: Drawing Radii (Circles)

I don't have the European version installed on this computer so I haven't tested it, but see attached, it might work.

If anything, I think you may just need to change the reference in the VBA Editor. Go to Tools | References and then go down and check the box next to "Microsoft MapPoint 16.0 Object Library (European)".

If you can't get it to work, I'll be at a computer with the European version on Monday and can test it and make sure it's working then.

Re: Drawing Radii (Circles)

Hello Eric..

It works , but theres a few bugs..

It seems to show adress-hit for the whole country not just the designated zipcode.

Im denmark we use a 4 digit zipcode, and dont use "states", and when I set the radius to 0,6 km, it displays as 0,300 km in mappoint..

Ill be happy to send u my database if u need some to work with.

René

Re: Drawing Radii (Circles)

Here's a similar tool but uses a list of Lat/Lon's instead of address.

Drawing Circles Around a List of Lat/Lons

Re: Drawing Radii (Circles)

Hey Eric..

Ty for the sheets.. they have been a big help in my work so far..
About ur new Lat/Lon sheet.. can u incorperate it with the normal adress sheet?
So u can opt for typing the adress or Lat/Lon?, and most importantly, it displays both the typed adresses and Lat/Lon locations..

Regards
René.
