Question Efficiently loading address based pushpins

Hi,
I am building an application using MapPoint 2006 which reads addresses (<=1000) from a DB and creates corresponding pushpins for each address. From what I have been told loading the addresses individually via the FindAddressResults API is slow. There is a GetLocation API which uses LAT/LONG which I assume should be faster however there appears to be no way to supply the associated address information when using this API.

Is this approach feasible or do I need to use the BULK load approach? This requires that I save the generated map locally or in the database.

Thanks, Andy

Re: Efficiently loading address based pushpins

Hi,

If you only have the address you need to use the FindAddr.. functions which can take a little time of course. If you have the geocoordinates then you can use GetLocation. Maybe you can use the FindAddressResults the first time, then calculate the coordinates and save them ? Then second time will be faster.
