| eliminate pop up windows Using the trial version, but will this be the same for the real version? Trying to embed inside asp.net but stalls on new applicationclass(); I believe it is because of the initial pop up window. Works fine with windows forms but want to use it inside asp.net |

With a full registered version of MapPoint 2004 I get a quick flash screen with registration info. I just tried it before replying and it was on for less than a second - just the time for the main screen to load. I've been doing a lot of MapPoint in the past 24hrs so it may have been cached => quick load. It sounds like you're using MapPoint programmatically? If so, you can suppress the "Save?" window at the end by updated the the Saved flag in the Application object. Exactly how you do this depends on your app, but you could set it just before closing, or you could set it after each change (eg. pushpin add, polyline draw, etc). Richard

So with the splash page is there a button that needs to be pressed? I am trying to programmatically run mappoint using asp.net Can successfully run it with windows forms, but not for web. Not sure if it is because of the pop up window. Has anyone successfully used asp.net with the trial version or know if it is possible to use with the full version. Thanks, |

No there's no button to be pressed on the full version. Having a button to be pressed on the trial version is very reasonable I think. Incidentally, if you're planning on using it in a web page you have to assume that the user has MapPoint installed, and I also suggest you look at the EULA. Using the desktop version of MapPoint on Internet webpages is prohibited by the EULA (not sure about Intranet pages you'll have to check). Richard
