I have been developing a route management system based on MP 2002? Is it true that licenses to 2002 are no longer available?

I know you can get them on eBay, and cheap, too. Compared to what they used to be.

Amazon still seems to sell it, they don't say discontinued or what-not. And their are 8 in stock in the marketplace section.

I think it will be years before you can no longer get a 2002 license. The thought just now occured to me, this may be one reason they opted to go to the upgrade/full version licensing instead of one version and rebates (which would be simpler). By doing an upgrade, previous 2002 licensees can't re-sell their copy.

I don't know, maybe being a little cynical. In any case, there are lots of 2002 copies out there to sell now, and see the other posts about interpretations, I think one said if it's updated less than every 15 seconds, it's not a real-time fleet application. I haven't studied it, I don't know.
