Eric - Just trying to re-connect. You helped me with Mappoint about a year ago, when I visite Chicago. We are ramping up the use of Mappoint again. Can you reach out to me? Thanks, Tim Cameron tim.cameron@gfs.com 864-399-8868
Hi Eric, I've been perusing these forums and you appear to be one of the resident experts on Map Point...so I thought I would ask you. My company uses a routing program called Street Sync that is paired with Map Point. Runs(Stops) are exported to Map Point for turn-by-turn directions. That said, we do allot of business in the tri-state area (Conn/NYC/NJ) and parkways continue to be our nemisis. I've seen in some old posts that you have written custom scripts/macros that eliminate parkways from Conn and NYC. Would it be possible to chat on the phone about how you did that? Such a script/macro would be a major time saver and would probably save one tuna-canned truck every 2-3 years. Please feel free to call me at 888-949-5089 ext 153. You help is defintiely appreciated!!! Thanks, Dan Camp Trucking
I'm not really familiar with this, try posting in the public forum at -- http://www.mapforums.com/newthread.php?do=newthread&f=6
Hi Eric, Your help with this matter is greatly appreciated: An earlier version of MapPoint (I believe 2002, which I no longer have access to) could export out the square mileage (land area) for a FSA (Forward Sortation Area) for Canada. (the FSA is defined by the first 3 digits of the 6-digit Postal Code). Version 2010 does not have this option. The Help does not lead anywhere on this topic. Question 1: would there be a way to export FSA or Postal Code land area from MapPoint 2010? Question 2: greatly appreciated any lead to a data source that would give us access to land area and population by Postal Code (or by FSA). Any lead / forward is welcome. Thank you, Colin

Eric, The optimization in Mappoint 2010 is terrible. I have 200 points in a small city block and it has me going from one side to the other....hitting streets mltiple times thru out the day. I do pickups for a charity doing used clothing drives. and we use large trucks. Mappoint likes to take you down most streets and do a u-turn everytime. Is there a way to get rid of the u-turns and have it always thinking about going ahead like a garmin. Or is there a third party optimizer that does only right hand turns or something alongs those lines? Any help is greatly appreciated
Hey man I just have some general questions before I nnvest in the software (MMP) could you please review my post. I need help before I loose my mind over scheduling my appointments for my service business. Im a one man show and I am hoping this software will help me save time with my rout optimization.
I have noticed that you have responded to a lot of posts and am hoping you can assist me with what seems to be a common question and should be a simple solution that I can not find.....How do you view/save the unmatched records that result from the ImportData?
All is well. Thank You
Try it now!
