Export to Excel works from 'closed shapes'. Is it possible to export to Excel from a single defined territory? Ie, can a territory boundary be used as a closed shape for exporting?

Sadly, no. Unfortunately, the territory concept in MapPoint 2002 (the first version in which it appeared) is not fully developed. Territories are not programmatically accessible and seemingly obvious features like your suggestion are not available. I would imagine that MapPoint 2003 will have significant improvements in territories (Just a guess, not based on any inside knowledge).

You can also offer this suggestion to the Microsoft Wish List.
