New here so be kind.
I get 50 new destinations every day. Would like to export the list to my Garmin to create the route I need to run. Can that be done through the MapPoint software and if so, what are the steps ?
Thanks for your reply(s)

Took a while to get it to work correctly, heaven knows why Garmin are being so silly with route management, but here is what I now use:
Software:
Mappoint to plan routes - I have over 2000 waypoints and 500 routes planned pan-Europe.
ITN converter to manage interim waypoints and export correct GPX files (look it up on the web)
MapsSource to send routes to Nuvi 2460 (download from garmin site) or Base Camp (the newer product)
The Process:
In Mappoint plan route and then export as GPX (data/export GPX)
In ITN converter, load that GPX file and click on the route, adjust route if necessary and then export as Garmin Nuvi format, having ticked route and waypoints. (use some sensible names to keep track of files).
In Mapsource, load the Nuvi GPX you just created - it will come up as a series of straight lines if you use waypoints in mappoint like me. Highlight the route named in the box on left and right click and select recalculate. Now you have your Mappoint route. Save that as a GDB file so you can use it again. Plug in the Nuvi to a USB port and then you can transfer the route to the device using Transfer in the menu bar at the top. If you want to change the name that is stored on the Nuvi, highlight the route name in the box on the left again, right click and select properties. You will need to deselect the auto-name and then you can write your own route name.
Base Camp will also do similar, has more features but being relativly new is a little more unreliable; we have had spurious waypoints added to routes which can be edited in Base Camp using the route tools, but are annoying. Also it is more tricky to handle as the product expects to manage all the routes at once. We have got round that by creating interim backups that contain just those routes we want to look at. Here is what you do if using Base Camp:-
In Base Camp, import the GPX ITN file, like MapSource. Rename it if you want in the top box. Highlight the route in the box below with an icon. Right click and then click show on map to see the route. Right click again and advanced and then recalulate to get the product to do a proper route. You can also do the same by right clicking, selecting properties and click on the calculator icon. The name that is used in the Nuvi can be changed in properties. To send the file to the Nuvi, right click on the route in the top box and send to device (which should be shown if attached to the USB)
Kind regards,
