I run MP 2002 - Is there any way to export the "show or hide places" located under the 'view' menu?
I would like to export "Theaters" but can't get them to go? If I can't export them is there a database where they can be found?
Help!

Ciao,

Greetings-
I am just getting started with MapPoint 2006. Just wondering if it has become any easier to export POIs or "Places" from a selected area on the map into Excel.
I read the article suggested by calv1ns and I figured that has got to be a slightly easier way by now. As well as it referred to the 2002 release.
Any help is greatly appreciated!
TIA...escargot
Hi,
Technically programatically there is not much change in between the several version. Did a quick look at the article and this seems very good.

Thank you for your reply! The issue that I have is that according to the article section...
"Assumptions
This article assumes that the reader is familiar with data access using the Microsoft Data Access Components (MDAC) and using the Mappoint 2002 Object Model within the Visual Basic development environment."
I am familiar with neitherIs there any other way to extract those POIs than the process described in the article?
Thanks again for your patience.
Hi,
I think the article describes the right way. But you only need to study the part to exctract them. You can save them in a flat file or whatever, so you dotnt need the SQL or MDAC thing.
