I know all of the names of the freeways/highways in my area if that makes a difference.

Does anyone know if this is possible, and if it is, where I might find any sample code to get me started?

i have MapPoint 2010 installed on Windows 2003 server.
there is a C# web service that use it to calculate distances. it worked fine for one year but now MapPoint.exe does not run anymore.

MapPoint.exe start and immediately close, both if it's started from the service whether it is launched manually or by the service.

the service logged many errors:

"The server RPC is unavailable" ,

"Retrieving the COM class factory for component with CLSID {xxx...} failed due to the following error: 80080005."

and in the Windows System Event Viewer:

"The Server {xxx...} did not register with DCOM within the required timeout"


I checked the DCOMCnfg user permissions but it still does not work.
Any help will be appreciated.

I have been messing around with mappoint in my access 2010 app for a bit now, mainly getting coordinates and converting them to addresses, but a new request has been made to see if I can get a current location from mappoint.
I have a gps device and have tested it just using mappoint itself I have made sure it works, I am just unable to find any information on how to make a search or find a location from the GPS device through the SDK.
