Greetings. I'm trying to locate the zip code for a given set of lat/long positions. Basically, all that is given to me is lat/long and I need to associate a zip code with each lat/long. Is this possible?

PS - I'm using Excel 2007 and Mappoint 2006.

Are you programming? See the ObjectsFromPoint method. Also, you could probably determine the nearest POI and extract the zip code. Finally, if you had a list of zip codes and their lat/lon's outside of MapPoint, you could do some brute force calculations to determine the nearest zip code centroid to your lat/lon. I've used all of these methods and there are articles to help on mp2kmag.com/articles.asp

I guess I should add that I'm new at VBA, so I'm attempting to write the script. My input data will only have lat/long.

Which method are you trying? Can you post the code you have so far and where you need help or have questions?
