Failed to open MapPoint routing construction file

Hi,
we integrate with the mappoint 2004 active x control from our application.. i have 3 or 4 users using it on a terminal server and occasionaly one of the users will get a blank form which should hold the mappoint control and the program hangs.. we then have to go into task manager and kill them off.. we have found that we get a "Failed to open MapPoint routing construction file" error in the event log.. is this something todo with the problem?

any help very much appreciated..

thanks
chris

I presume it's locked or there's contention. I wonder if one of your users is in the habit of frequently the contruction data?

How well-versed are you with tweaking apps for Terminal Server? I presume there's a way to change registry settings so that the contruction file would be kept and maintained by user instead of shared.

Hi,
as far as i can see there isn't a construction database there.. it says Route contruction file.. is that a different file? i could tweak the compatability flags for it.. but not sure what to change that will make any difference..

Hi,
this seems to not be the problems.. i have put logging into my application and the user gets to searching for the address and the application crashes.. you just get a blank form with no control.. the control creates fine.. any thoughts? this is really causing problems with our customer..
