    filter data file

My saved html map does not provide enough detail for New England. I'm thinking I should have 2 data files--one for Eastern US and one for Western US determined by state. Is there a way to filter the full file so as to get more detail in each half of the country? I would like not to have to generate double the number of data files for each subject.

One thing you might try to do is increase the screen size or resolution or get a larger monitor.. MapPoint will expand to fill the full screen. This is a simple trick to get larger maps with more detail. Another thing you might try is to start by creating the two maps (east and west) and then splice them together.
