Finding the "middle" of a bunch of pushpins?

Is there a way to select a bunch of pushpins (locations) on a map and tell MapPoint to find the "middle" point between all of these? Thanks!

Calculate center

Yes, but only with a bit of programming.

YouŽll need to obtain the coordinates of the pushpin locations, see Gilles KohlŽs article http://www.mp2kmag.com/articles.asp?ArticleID=13.
Then, it depends on which 'middle' you would like to calculate. If it is the center of mass, just sum all the coordinates and divide by N. If it is the geometric center, youŽll have to find and sum the two extreme coordinate values (min and max) and divide by 2.

Greetings, Jack.

Thanks.

Thanks for the reply. We are trying to determine the best location to open an office, based on our how our customers are spread across a geographic region (usually a city or metro area). We don't have the funds or staffing to put development time into this... but it seems like something other MapPoint users would be looking for too. Thanks again.

Best Regards,
Cliff Peterson

Save a map with all of the pushpins and send it to me and I'll figure it out for you for $150. Email me at lambda_chi_gg1320@removethisstuff.yahoo.com if you're interested.
