Frustrated - Script timed out Active Server Page

OK, so all I get is a script timeout when attempting the follwing..

Set objApp = Server.CreateObject("MapPoint.Application")

I read somewhere that the system may be waiting for the EULA or something. I believe my DCOM is set up correctly as in that the IUSR has launch permission.

I need help, a basic idea on setting up the security and a sample script just to prove I got it right.

Any assistance will be immensely appreciated.

Thanks in advance

MapPoint activex Control and ASP.NET

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi,

I am new bie to MapPoint . I have got MapPoint 2004 installed on my system. I am trying to use MapPoint activex control.

It works fine on my system, when Windows authentication is enabled in IIS.

But the same will not work from other systems.

when I remove Windows Integrated authentication it doesn't even work on my system .

I went thru some blogs on net.

I have given permissions to the ASPNET user for accessing the MapPoint Activex using DCOMCNFG.

I would like to know how can I work with MAPPOINT in ASP.NET with out having IIS windows integrated authentication enabled.

Any pointer / information regarding this would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
Vijay
