Geocoding Database

Would anyone have a suggestion as to a good program to GeoCode multiple SQL Databases based on Address, City, State and Zip?
I would look for reason codes as to why an item did not geocode that is as detailed as possible. Also, I would like to set the program to run as it recognizes new entries.

Any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated.

Thanks

Re: Geocoding Database

I've used MapInfo's MapMarker product a lot with SQL and I think it is probably one of the best high-speed, quality geocoding products out there. For a flat fee (~8k per year?) I think you can do an unlimited number of geocodes.

I know Microsoft offers geocoding through MWS/VE but I'm not familiar with it.. here's a couple articles about it and I'm sure you can find more:

I don't know what the performance is like vs. MapMarker when doing hundreds of thousands of records..

I've heard G1's geocoding products are superior to MapMarker but also cost more
Business Geographics Products | Pitney Bowes Group 1 Software
I think MWS/VE use G1 technology..

hope this gives you something to go on.

Eric
