| GeoWeb Call for Papers Issued The GeoWeb conference will bring together the world of professional GIS and the broader world of the Web. Important synergies should come from this interaction in terms of business opportunities, specifications, technology development and business and policy models. GeoWeb 2006 is an outgrowth of the successful GML Days and GML and Geo-Spatial Web Services Conference held from 2001 to 2005. The new GeoWeb conference will be larger and more inclusive and will include keynote speakers, panel sessions, product demonstrations, workshops and educational sessions. Conference papers will be organized around markup, Web services, service-oriented architecture and business and policy issues that arise in the GeoWeb context and their relationship to key market and technical themes. Those themes include nautical and aeronautical information systems, defense and homeland security, consumer and commercial services, municipal information systems and global spatial data infrastructure, disaster management and environmental systems and technology centric. Prospective speakers should submit abstracts no longer than 200 words and include the presentation title, the name of the presenter or presenters, the presenting organization and their preferred theme.
