Getting Census Tract from a pushpin

I have a vba script that goes through a list of address in excel and places a pushpin at each address. I would like to be able to find out what census tract that pushpin is in. Is there a way to query the pushpin object and determine what census tract it is in, or a way to find out what census tract each address is in?

I looked at this solution, but i can't seem to get it to work. I don't have visio, and i am working with the basic script editor that is packaged with MS office.

It seems as if there are other people who have asked similar questions with no real answers.

    Would the pushpin tool help?

In any event, I hope that someone out there can help me out, or at least ell me that it is impossible.

    Cheers,

    In addition....

I'd be appy if i could tell if a pushpin was inside some territory, or heck even a shape!

I just need to be able to distinguish the pushpins that are in a certain territory, and those that are outside the territory. Any way to do that is fine, but right now, I have the territories defined by census tract. I'd like to find the census tract and then check to see if it is one of the census tracts in my territory, then plot the pushpin or not plot the pushpin.

    Thanks!

I was looking for something similar and found the following whilst searching the posts here:

It is in VB.Net, but looks like it should work.
