The examples in the Help that accompanies MapPoint are all in VB6, and are probably amongst the best examples that you'll find. This webste also has a range of articles solving particular problems. Richard

I can very much relate to this topic. My experience with MapPoint has been getting driving directions from MSN Maps, however now we just obtained the full version for a programming project here at work. I program in VB .Net and I do not know where to start. Besides this newgroup and this website I have tried to study the MapPoint help files but I feel like I am not even at square one. The primary job of MapPoint would be to check for any other events within a driving distance of 100 miles. Basically, get the distance between point A and point B and display it on the map. I don't even know how to bring up the map right now on my windows form. It would be nice if there was a good book for MapPoint for .Net Developers (something like the Step By Step books). Brad |
