Getting Started with VB6 and MapPoint 2004

Can any of you recommend some good resources for MapPoint 2004 programming with VB6?

Are there any files I should download to help me get started?

How about some books, any good ones?

Any advice would be much apprechiiated. If more info is needed on my part I would be happy to provide it. Thank you.

The examples in the Help that accompanies MapPoint are all in VB6, and are probably amongst the best examples that you'll find.

This webste also has a range of articles solving particular problems.

I can very much relate to this topic. My experience with MapPoint has been getting driving directions from MSN Maps, however now we just obtained the full version for a programming project here at work. I program in VB .Net and I do not know where to start. Besides this newgroup and this website I have tried to study the MapPoint help files but I feel like I am not even at square one.

The primary job of MapPoint would be to check for any other events within a driving distance of 100 miles. Basically, get the distance between point A and point B and display it on the map. I don't even know how to bring up the map right now on my windows form.

It would be nice if there was a good book for MapPoint for .Net Developers (something like the Step By Step books).
