Google maps/earth - Mappoint
Hi I was wondering if Mappoint and google earth uses similar scripts/software. Mappoint has been running alot longer than google earth/maps. Although Mappoint has been running longer than google earth, google have brought new technoligy to the similar type of program.

What do you think about?

Very different code bases. There might be some overlap between Virtual Earth & MapPoint (they're from the same company), but not between these two and Google Maps / Earth.

Any similarities at the user area are because they are designed for similar jobs and they are in active competition (aka "one upmanship").
