Hi
We are developing a application in C# using mappoint features.
What we now want to do is track a group of vehicles.
What we would like is a GPS receiver plugged into the base PC that would communicate with the vehicles are return the lat/lon in a format we can convert for the map.
The question is what GPS receiver is best, what is needed in the cars, will mobile phones dop and we can we get more info on this.

Hi,

This is the thing I do as a dayly work.

For GPS I work a lot with Trimble and Garmin. Mostly the latter. For boardcompoteres, a lot with Aplicom. Latest time for sms and gprs connections with Siemens mc/tc35 modules. Aplicom also has boardcomputers with build in gsm and gps module.
