Heat Maps

Are there any native methods available in VE javascript API or mappoint COM which can be used to create heat maps. If no then what other options are available to get heat maps (free or commercial). I want to create a
heat map of account(or contact) potentials in a particular area.
Thanks

Re: Heat Maps

Our GridImp product will produce crude "heat maps" in MapPoint desktop. You must interpolate your data to a grid first. The results are drawn as squares or jagged shapes - not nice smooth contours. Desktop MapPoiont only supports 40 colours, so you can't get nice smooth "heat maps" (eg. like the currently trendy "webpage click" heat maps, etc).

I have written contouring algorithms in the past, so I know what is involved to do a "proper" job with GridImp (or a replacement).
Unfortunately I am yet to be convinced that there's a sufficient market to make it worthwhile.
