| This must be so, because everytime I try to import tract information from the 2000 Census, many records are not matched. Why is this so and are there any plans to update this? Thank you.         |

MapPoint 2002 shipped on May 31st of this year, at which point some but not all of the Census 2000 data was published. Obviously, development work on MapPoint 2002 started well before this, so Microsoft probably didn't have any choice but to base this release on Census 1990. |
