| Help Please!!! With Mapping information to pie charts I am currently stuck trying to sort out how to sort data for a massive spreadsheet, and I am stuck. I have: 1. 160 employees across the USA 2. 11 Managers 3. 320+ Clinical Research projects My boss wants me to import this into Map Point and show which of the 160 employees are working on which of the 320 plus Clinical Projects! The main problem is that the clinical projects have a name and not a number, and when you add up all of the lines in Excel, there are over 14000 lines of data! Is this a hard thing to figure out? If someone can point me in the right direction, I would appreciate it greatly! Thank you again DCM |

This is just an idea and I don't know how easy it would be for you to implement as i'm not sure how your data is formated but could you have a spreadsheet that looked something like Emp Zip Code | Project ID -------------------------------- ab123 | 1 bc345 | 2 de456 | 3 Then you could import this into mappoint set it to 'multiple symbol' and 'unique values' then for every zip code (row) in your spreadsheet you would have a pin thats color is based on the project ID. The project ID would have to be a unique incrementing number, if you don't already have such an ID you could use MS Access to generate one and some queries to fill out the ID for the employees then export back out to excel. (please remember i'm in the UK and have no idea what US zip codes look like! |

Hi Dazzer! Thanks a million for the idea! It put into a new direction and so far it is working. I decided to use the pushpins to highlight each CRA and imported the excel data that is important to that persons manager. I have to input the data manually in each balloon, but it gets me through the day! Thanks again DCM |
