Help, I have a map that has multiple objects (lines) indicating various paths. I need to select & delete 10-100 at a time, but it is only letting me select and delete one item at a time. Since there are 14K lines, this isn't doable, is there an area select are or select multiple tool that I could then use the delete button?

PS these are freeform objects.

When I've had to do this in the past, I would do it in MapInfo.. it's a bit of a pain to export the shapes out and back into MapPoint, but there are utilities like Richard Marsden's MPSuperShape that should help.

You can bring the MapPoint maps into MapInfo Pro using another product called Map-In-A-Box.

Thanks.. we are in the process of getting MapInfo, but it won't be in time for this project. I am surprised, since multiple object select seems like a pretty basic function to me and should in MapPoint 2009! (which is what I have).
