Here is what I want to do...

OK, I have 2 lists - one is a station listing for my company - name, address, city, state, zip, etc...

What I want to be able to do is load this list of locations, then cross reference against external lists of outside company locations.

The goal is to be able to provide customers an Excel based list of their own locations (provided by them) with our corresponding closest location address and info - is a map link also provided?

I tried loading data but it simply plotted these points on the map - I am looking for the ability to have this info Excel spreadsheet based for reference - the actual software is not utilized by outside companies.

    I am using MapPoint 2006.

    Appreciate your help!

You may want to look at our MileCharter product:

    http://www.milecharter.com

This is an add-in for MapPoint.

Load your first set of locations as a pushpin set (eg. using the data import wizard). Load the second set of locations as a second pushpin set.

Run MileCharter, and it will produce an Excel table giving the distances from all locations in the first set to all locations in the second set.
You can also tell it to only report the closest location / two closest locations / etc.

So is this function not available in the regular release of Map Point?

There's a 10 second timer on the nag screen. Wait for the timer to finish counting down and the "OK" button will be enabled.

Don't see a timer anywhere - I just get the blinking cursor prompting for a registration key.

You are running it from the Tools menu in MapPoint? (and not the Registration button in the Start menu)

If so, it thinks you have installed it in the past. Other things might upset it - eg. if you have changed the date on your system. Which OS are you using?

I can send a trial-extension registration key. I'll PM it to you. What name should I use?

    I am using Windows XP.

My name is Matt - if you can send the key that would be great.
