For presentation purposes, I wish MapPoint had the option of completely hiding City State Zip, etc. labels. In MP 2002 you can adjust the relative size of text but you cannot completely make it disappear. Along these same lines, I would like to see the application allow the user to choose whether or not bordering geographies are visible. In other words on a US map, I don't want to see either ocean or Canada and Mexico.

I agree 100% with this post. Having everything labeled clutters the entire map, and connectign neighboring areas takes away attention from what I am trying to present with this program. I want my data to stick out not the name of a city that has no meanign ot my map. If I am only concerned with one state, there is no reason for the neighboring states to be attached. I also with that you could change the background fill color in the data map so it shows better when you print out the maps.

This would be very good. I too have a need for blank maps with only borders. Why cannt we have proper layers for the render stuff?

I totally agree. It just makes common sense to me to make the graphics as customizable as possible. I think the problem is that MapPoint was not created with graphic designers in mind. It was made for uncreative bean-counters that are just happy to get something other than text in their PowerPoint presentations.
