I am trying to find a solution where I can draw a geofence around a neighborhood and then have the software tell me how many homes are in that geofence?

I am trying to find a solution where I can draw a geofence around a neighborhood and then have the software tell me how many homes are in that geofence?
Any help in pointing me in the right direction would be really appreciated.
You'd have to get a list of all the homes such as from the phone book and then import it into MapPoint.
MapPoint has address ranges, but doesn't have any information about all the buildings, only "points of interest" in certain categories like restaurants, train stations, etc. but not homes.

Well I have no information about this matter as I am also looking for software that could help me in finding the location. So plz help me out...
