Hi,
I would like to add text to my maps -- HOWEVER -- when doing so, I have to create that white textbox and it looks terrible! Isn't there a way in mappoint to simply type text--as is--over the map?
Thanks,
john

You can set the white Textbox to no fill... I think you either have to have a border or a fill when modifying the shape in MapPoint, however, I've heard you can turn them both off manipulating the object programmtically.
In any case, I know you can make the outline a very thin gray line which barely shows up.
Another option and one I would urge you to consider, is use Map-In-A-Box with MapInfo, the labeling options are phenomenal in MapInfo compared to MapPoint. You can use the MapInfo labels directly on top of the MapPoint map.
