Hello,
I was wondering if someone knows a way of changing the default country from U.S. to Canada?
Should there not be an option in the menu?
Thanks for your help

You can change the defualt template, that is the initial map view that is opened when MapPoint is started. Just replace the .ptt file in the program folder under program files with one of your own.
Are there any other settings you wanted to default to Canada? I can't think of anything else to change besides the default map or how you would go about it.

Hi Eric
Thanks for the info. I have changed the default map. Now i need to change the default country setting in the "find" section - ie when you type in an address to search - Mappoint defaults to U.S. - I would like it to default to Canada.
Any ideas?
Thanks
I don't, sorry.

The default country is based on the regional settings of Windows. So change your regional settings to Canada in the Windows Control Panel, and MapPoint will then default to Canada.
