How do I get GPX output?

If I use a GPS receiver with Mappoint to track my travels on the map, how can I also output the track in a format that can be used with non-MS software such as RouteConverter, or GPicSync so that I can geocode my photographs? It seems that the only way to save the track now is as a trail shown on the map itself, which is useless for those other purposes. Why isn't some sort of text file output of the trail available, such as nmea sentence, or GPX format, so that these additional uses of the data are feasible.

    Hi,

You can do this by custom programming. Receiving the GPS data in the custom program and use a pushpin to put the actual position on the map. So then you can do whatever you wants with the gps data and also use all functions of MP.

Gilles Kohl wrote a program Pins2File2006 that would do it, but I'm not sure where it is now..
