Hi,

I am very interested with this forum but I don't have a clue what mapoint is! Is it like a online vitual map e.g google maps or is it based around google earth? Also If I wanted to download or use this program were could I get hold of it? Please help me as this program sounds really good.

That's pretty amazing not to have a clue what MapPoint is and have 9 posts on this forum. Here's the most basic link, and you can get a free trial version.

You can download a 60-day trial - it's huge but it's free and you can't go wrong with that. I think Microsoft made a good decision to put it out in the open in the Microsoft Download Center where you don't even need to register.

No - the closest competitor is probably DeLorme's XMap/GIS products or maybe ESRI's BusinessMap. The closest software product is probably actually Microsoft's own Streets & Trips / AutoRoute except that you can't program those.

Ok, thanks for the info. I did'nt relise there were so many business's had devoloped there own version (or similar) program to Mappiont.
