I have an Access database of interesting places to visit via my bike, as well as local restaurants. I use MapPoint to plot their locations on a map so I can plan good bike routes. I have also linked to geocaching sites.
One of the customers using CheetahTracks TM from Cheetah Software Systems, Inc. Tracks 90 Cement trucks and their pour information. As jobs come in to the company they create XML formatted documents with job site information, including address and date ranges. The XML job sites become pushpin locations within the system.
When a tracked truck comes within a soft coded radius for a soft coded period of time the map is updated showing the vehicle has arrived at the site. This information is correlated with other pour information to produce various reports concerning the pour.
This works with any field service as the XML can handle several job site related information.
I am using mappoint for tracking software. This will track vehicles to see what they are doing, where they are etc...

Help. I am simply trying to add many clients to one location, ie. about 10 clients within the same zip/postal code. When I import the data, only one name comes up and also only one pinpoint. I want it to be populated so that the map looks full. How can I do this??
I created an app that identifies all dealers within 50 miles of two national companies.
Also am attempting to locate all dealers from a post office.
My company provides consulting services for landowners who have been approached for a cell tower lease as well as mapping services for cell tower companies.
I typically work in Mapinfo, then export point files to Mappoint for inclusion on a more presentable road map if I want my clients to have something easy to read.
I also use Mappoint on my laptop with GPS enabled while doing site audits of cell tower sites and proposed locations for my tower company clients.

"Now, the carrier's all-electronic response begins with the dispatch of adjusters. The claims team gets a feed from underwriting showing the numbers of policies by county and ZIP code. "We're able to extract data through Cognos' [Burlington, Mass.] Impromptu [reporting software] and dump it into [Microsoft] Excel and then import it into [Microsoft] MapPoint to determine how we want to position staff and independent adjuster resources," Bowen explains.
