White Belt MapPoint is a data visualization product, not a typical GIS product. With a little programming, one can do a lot with MapPoint. Microsoft took over a very smart mapping compnay called Vicinity, so the next release of MapPoint is expected to be even more feature-rich and perhaps more versatile.
