Still couldn`t find out how to filter pushpins. All I did was descreasing the number of ranges but one cannot chose which range should be the only one shown in the map.

Are you working on Mappoint DIRECTLY or are you using Mappoint ACTIVEX?
What do you need exactly? To do an SQL request in ACCESS? Do you have a form where the user can enter his choice?

Can you clarify what you try to do ? You can filter a dataset, but this has not mutch to do with Mappoint., so I dont really understeand... As Mohamed already stated: please expain exacly what you try to do.
BTW: PLEASE dont use captitals in a subject header. Because of this many people will not even read it !!!!

I use MapPoint directly..no active X control nor SQL.............
was able to find out how to filter the pushpins now, thx. I have pushpins for each type of outlet we have in our company (8 diffrent ones)...I siml< decrease range to one ( so ther is only one pushpin left) und type in the sort of pushpin/outlet that I want to be displayed on the map in the text field......
are there any other ways to do so?
