How to go "Back" in MapPoint 2009 ?

In all previous versions of MapPoint there was a Back button for going through previous zoom levels..

Is there a way to do this with MapPoint 2009?

Is it a simple interface change like the right-click / drag substituting for the rectangle/"Select" button?

Eric

If you are looking for the "Undo" button, it's not there, but you can still do Ctrl+Z (Or click Edit => Undo).

I think I tried that.. it doesn't do the same as the Forward/Back buttons did? Is there a keyboard shortcut or something I'm being ignorant about ??

Re: How to go "Back" in MapPoint 2009 ?

I tried for another 5 minutes and still can't figure it out..

Undo does not work to go back to the Previous view - ever.

Not when you right-click and drag, not when you use the toolbar zoom, etc.

So that's not it.. and I can't find any keyboard shortcut that does it.

Sorry, Eric, while you were talking about the back button, I was thinking about the undo button. Now I understand what you mean - I'm not at a PC with MapPoint installed at the moment, but I know now what you are saying

Re: How to go "Back" in MapPoint 2009 ?

An engineer at Microsoft confirmed that they removed the Forward/Back buttons as part of a simplification of the interface.. there's no keyboard shortcut.
