How To Include the Legend of MapPoint 2006 to Excel File
Hi,

I used "Copy Map" and paste it to an Excel file. The map goes to the Excel file well. However, the legend was not included in the Excel file. Does someone know how to include(copy/paste) legend to an Excel file. I tried ctrl+c and ctrl+v but it doesn't work.

Hi Zili,
One way to do it is through the menu toolbar in both MapPoint and the receiving software whether it is Excel, Word or Powerpoint.
MapPoint - Edit/Copy
Excel - Edit/Paste Special, select Bitmap, then ok out.

However, make sure that nothing is highlighted on either the map or the legend, otherwise only the highlighted part will be copied across, I always click on a clear space on the map to make sure.

Hi Stephen,

Sorry that "MapPoint - Edit/Copy
Excel - Edit/Paste Special, select Bitmap, then ok out." doesn't work. I guess because the legend is outside map. Please refer to the attached file. Do you know how to include the legend into Map in MapPoint? I guess that once we can are done this, then your method will work.

Hi Zili,

Your attachment shows that you are in the Territory Manager click the Legend Button on the standard toolbar to show the Legend. Your map size is bigger than the Word doc, I clicked on your map and used the corner drag buttons to make the map fit the page. I may be missing something, but you can include the Legend with any map using the method I mentioned before.

Hi Stephen,

I need zip codes underneath the Map.

The copy icon is disabled once I clicked "Legend and Overview" icon so I am not able to try the method you provided.
