I don't see a part of the route, please help me

Hi.
I'm using MapPoint 2004 Europe in Italian. I have this problem:

•I join the MapPoint file with an Access table with the addresses of 700
customers near Rimini (an italian city).
•I draw a shape that cover the customers I want.
•'Planning Route' - 'Symbol in the select area' - 'Add to Route' (I have
translated from italian: maybe the menu voices are different in english)
MapPoint shows me a list of addresses ordered by the best route to cross all
points.

The problem is that the central part of the route (with 500 Waypoints) is
not visible: MapPoint show me only a point with the target 100-500. How can I be sure that the order in the Waypoints-list from point 100 to 500 is right? I can't understand only looking the Way names.

Thanks in advance,
Pileggi

It's very choosy!

No, now I understand. MapPoint don't find many addresses. It's very choosy! F.e. if a street has a person name and I don't specify the first name, the search fail. I think it's a big defect!
If you have a suggestion, it will be very appreciate.
Thanks again,
Pileggi

Hi,

What you eventually can do is add the coordinates to each address, and do the calculation with the coordinates instead of the names.

Unfortunately I ignore latitude and longitude of the addresses.
Thanks however,
Pileggi

Hi Pileggi,

I dont know your application of course, but in most case I register the coordinates automaticly (with boardcomputer) the first time the customars trucks ar at destination. This go into database, next time it is easy.

Another approach is to have in the database all exact streetnames, but that you have figured out yourself

Certainly my application is not so advenced. Can you suggest me a good solution to enhance our system and register the coordinates as you do?
Thanks,
Pileggi

Hi Pileggi,

What I mean is that if the cars have a boardcomputer + GPS + a way to communicate with back office (GPRS - SMS - other), then they can transmit the right coordinates at first visit of a place. Then backoffice can automaticly save it together with the address.
