| Importing data into MapPoint 2004 Sorry for my English. I have a legal copy of MapPoint 2004 and I need to import some data to it via ActiveX control or a program MapPoint 2004 has not a roads of East Europe. I would like to import a data about roads of Polish. I have a possibility to buy map of roads of Polish from other provider. MapPoint 2004 provides import data to its maps, but I don't find information, that these data can refer of roads. Is it possible to import data about roads to MapPoint 2004 ? Regards. Hi Eric I want to avoid to draw the roads (Polish roads) in the map. I would like to buy MapPoint 2002, if I could obtain it and if this article is on the stock. Is the "AND Mapping" own name? What can you understand under this name ? How can I use this tool in MapPoint 2004. Can I buy it for version 2004 ? With the best regards Wieslaw Kubala Ted-Electronics wiecho_k@poczta.onet.pl |

>>I would like to buy MapPoint 2002, if I could obtain it and if this article is on the stock.<< Check eBay and/or Amazon used sales or similar online auction and retail services in your area where it is common to find older or discontinued items. AND Mapping is a data vendor. This is data only, not a tool. For all I know it may the original source of the same data you have. Again, this road data can only be imported into MapPoint 2004 as drawing objects. You could not use it for routing. I would give up on trying to use MapPoint 2004 for Poland. You would be better off with either MapPoint 2002 which has some limited (highway) road network for Poland or use the data you have or the AND Mapping data in a GIS or CAD program. Eric

Hi Eric, Thank you for answer. You are right. This is impossible to include roads of Polish to MapPoint 2004, only like by drawing. But I want to use this maps still. I was changed my plans. I want to use AutoRoute 2004 or 2005, because it is cheap and offers the same functionality as MapPoint 2004, except ActiveX control. I heard, that there is a possibility control AutoRoute via OLE mechanism. Is it truth ? If yes, can I open AutoRoute in my program, not in external window ?
