Importing ESRI Shape Files (.shp)

I've imported ESRI shape file data into MapPoint 2004 via Microsoft's Spatial Data Import utility code. I've noticed that when I am in MapPoint and I zoom all the way in (as far as I can zoom in,) the lines that correspond to existing roads do not scale (line up) properly with existing road data. I've managed to set the line format to 1 in my code, but that only helps a little. Is there any way to get the lines to scale properly with the maps on a full zoom in? It seems that when I move the zoom slide control in the MapPoint interface toolbar just 2 positions from full right, everything lines up properly. I'd be grateful for any and all suggestions.

P.S. This problem only seems to happen with line data...polygon shapes scale just fine.

Thanks,

Joe R., Hazleton, PA

The shape files are coming in a drawing objects, the same as you would draw on the map and with all the same limitations.

Instead of lines, you might try making the line actually be a polygon. Then it would behave as you desire?
