| Importing Notes into Pushpins I am trying to import a CSV file into Mappoint 2002 which contains a postcode, a name and some notes relating to the postcode. When I use the Import data wizard it does not let me select that the notes from my import file should be put into the note property of the pushpin and I then end up with the notes being imported into the F1 field and they are no longer editable by the user. Has anyone got any idea how you go about this without writing custom import code. Dave. |

You can't import anything into an editable note field, but you can import notes for display with pushpins. Not sure if this will meet your needs, but here's how: 1) during import you can change the names of fields (if you don't like "F1" for example, you can call it "Notes"). In the wizard where you identify the fields to import, just click on the field name and tpe in a new one. 2) during import you should be allowed to choose which fields to display in a pushpin balloon. After import, you can change the fields to display by right-clicking on Properties on the pushpin set in the legend. Hope this addresses at least some of your concerns... |
