Hi everyone, Im desperately trying to get map point to install for gps reasons. It appers to have installed correctly, but when I try to run it, it just hangs at the mp 2002 splash screen. I have tried the fix outline on MS site (doc # 322104 ) but no luck (invlovles reinsatlled some dll.)

Funny thing is I can run streets and trips 2002 with no problems, and all the help articles state problems should occur in both mp 2002 and streets 2002.

I did notice something strange, when I try to install new version of mdac_typ, i get the little install screen, but no options. all i can click is cancel. the other button are all grayed out, and nothing is shown in the window itself.

I should also say im running windows 2000 w/ sp3.

any help greatly appreciated!
