INSTEAD OF DRIVETIME ZONE -- DRIVE MILES ZONES??

Help! I'm trying to find a way to create delivery area that is 15 miles from a store. I have tried the radius on the map of 15 miles and exported to Excel, but obviously its air miles and not DRIVING ROUTE MILEES. Is there a way that anyone knows instead of driving 15 minutes from an origin to drive 15 MILES from an origin in all directions to find out the zip codes in that area?

How about changing the driving profile to a consistent 60mph? That way, 15 minutes is 15 always miles, and you have your drive miles zone...

I haven't tried it, but it makes sense in theory!

You could take a drivetime zone and enumerate the vertices then from your center point calulate the driving distance to each point (vertice?) Figure the avg driving distance. Adjust the drivetime zone and repeat until you have a good "Driving Distance zone"

erm... overkill much?
Or your could just change all your speeds to 60mph and use the corresponding drive-time zone, as a 15 minutes drive-time zone will be a 15 mile drive-mile zone...

Unless somebody can explain why the above won't work?

What if your startpoint is downtown Washing DC? Would your 15 "DriveTime" be accurate? Obviously you could not drive 60 mph downtown.

Anyway, the last part of his question is finding the zip code for the outer perimeter of the drivetime zone. You would need to use another routine on the vertices to determine their zip.
