Integration of MapPoint in Java application

hi, Iīm trying to find out how can I use MapPoint maps in my Java application. Thereīs a way to do this, which consists on using MapPoint Web Services. I donīt want to use Web Services, I want to use MapPoint directly into the application without using internet. I would like to get the maps from the MapPoint I have installed on my pc. So, anyone knows how can I do this? Thanks in advance.

Re: Integration of MapPoint in Java application

You can use the desktop version of MapPoint, but you will need a COM Bridge - ie. a library that allows you to call COM programming interfaces. There are a number out there - some cost money, some are open source. Typically they have examples that use Word or Excel - both have the same kind of interface as MapPoint.
