Introduction Mappoint 2006

Hello everyone!

I'm probably a new Mappoint fan. I want to use the program for presenting geographic financial data.

I used the wizard to present some info. Can you help me to get a list of the data type (postalcode/postcode 1)? In different countries they have different postal codes. It's possible to present at different levels of the postal codes. Is there a list available of the different postalcodes and examples (Netherlands: postcode 1 = 9512 GV).

When I have put the data in a map. Is it possible to pick out that country without the surrounding borders/countries/details and copy it in MS Word?

greetings,

ytsje

Re: Introduction Mappoint 2006

Hello Ytsje

As you’ll be discovering postcode geography and the way it’s incorporated in Mappoint 2006 is a bit of a mish-mash across different European countries. Over the last 3 years I’ve kind of learnt by experience so what I’ve tried to do is summarise the situation for a number of different countries. I’ve included it as the first item in my Mappoint Gallery (link at bottom of message). It’s not meant to be definitive – just my experience. I’ve also included a Virtual Earth map so it’s possible to try out the postcode examples.
