MapPoint without Visual Studio

Are there any demo's and/or tools available that do not require the use of Visual Studio to create and run programs?

My website is setup on unix servers.

Ideally, I would like to create applications using PHP that can run on unix/linux based servers.

I don't know of a PHP example.. it would be a good topic for a future article.

Hi Eric,
I just started to look at the MP Web Services, I also use Windows 2000, where do I get IIS 6.0? and I thought IIS 6.0 required Win 2003?

Please help.
