can somone post code or explain how to obtain the lattitude and longitude of all cities along with their state/province and country?

You might take a look at what you can retrieve out of GNIS - http://geonames.usgs.gov/.

That would probably be a more efficient way of trying to obtain this information rather than extract it from MapPoint.

Thanks for the link. Although it provides me with latitude/longitude, it categorizes cities as "populated place" together with other smaller regions so I'm having trouble getting just a list of cities.
Do you have any other links that give a listing of just cities along with their province and country? Or can someone post code or explain how to obtain this through MapPoint?
