Launch of Virtual Earth in Portugal

Some months ago I met with IGP (Instituto Geografico Portugues) in Lisbon, Portugal. With YDreams, one of the excellent partners of MS Portugal, and friends from MS Portugal (José Fernandes, DPE Director, and Nono Costa) we had a very productive discussion with IGP. We decided then to set up the basis of a partnership.

Some months later, after some business and legal work, we came to a win-win agreement.

Last Monday, MS Portugal launched the IGP ortho images of Portugal in VE. It was a major event. IGP Management, Ministers, VIP, MS Execs, everybody was there.
Press coverage was very good! Paper, TV, blog, web, everybody is now talking about this! It's a very important event. The news went even to Madrid where a local newspaper put this on its home page!

Here are some of the coverage we had. We are really proud we could set this partnership up and deliver a very nice solution in Portugal.

In this one, my firend José Fernandes has even been called MS Portugal President by the journalist :-) He told me he was really honored ;-) FYI Jose is the MS Portugal DPE Director.
